Heavy Civil Senior Project Engineer - FDOT BridgeNaples, FL | $105,000 to $135,000 per year plus project bonus | Full-timeA heavy civil highway and bridge contractor with projects across Florida is hiring a Senior Project Engineer for FDOT roadway and bridge work in the Naples area. The role manages the technical and commercial side of each job, including RFIs, submittals, scheduling, subcontractors, quantities, and cost. It offers a clear path to Project Manager, and relocation assistance is available.ScheduleFull-time, based in Naples, FL, with regular time on project sites across Southwest Florida.Compensation$105,000 to $135,000 base salary, plus project bonus potential.What You'll DoYou will manage RFIs, submittals, and technical coordination with the owner, the Engineer of Record, and the field team. You will review plans, specifications, and shop drawings for compliance with the contract and FDOT standards. You will also build and update the project schedule in Primavera P6.You will track quantities, cost against bid, and monthly forecasts, and support monthly pay estimates, billing, and cash flow. You will manage subcontractors, including their contracts and change orders, and lead project meetings with foremen, subcontractors, and owner representatives.You will work with the superintendent to catch conflicts and delays before they reach the field, and coordinate survey, quality control, and quality assurance inspections. You will also keep NPDES permit requirements, the SWPPP, and the safety program on track.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management5+ years of project engineering experience on heavy civil, highway, or bridge projects for a contractorFDOT project experienceExperience with RFIs, submittals, subcontractor management, change orders, quantities, and cost trackingProficiency with Primavera P6 and ExcelBased in Southwest Florida, or willing to relocate to the Naples areaPreferred QualificationsFlorida Professional Engineer (PE) licenseHCSS HeavyJob experienceOSHA 30-Hour Construction certificationFDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certificationFDOT CTQP qualificationsFlorida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector certificationCompensation and Benefits$105,000 to $135,000 base salaryProject bonus potentialRelocation assistanceMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k)Paid time off and paid holidaysTo apply, submit your resume for consideration.
